A few weeks ago, Jeunesse Anion invited us to learn some tips about how to live better, especially with the stressful environment we all seem to find ourselves in nowadays.
They also took this opportunity to introduce their brand ambassadors, sisters Christine and Clarice Patrimonio. 🙂 The event was dubbed the Jeunesse Anion Millennial Fair.
WELLNESS & BEAUTY WITH JEUNESSE ANION – Some tips on how to live well
Millennials are one of the most exciting generations of our time – they are resourceful, energetic, and digitally savvy. They are also the age group that is the most highly conscious when it comes to health and fitness.
Even though I’m way past the cut-off age to be considered a millennial, I still found the tips useful. Most of the tips, I already know but often forgot, so it’s good to be reminded 🙂
How to deal with stress
One of the major factors that make us look older than we are is STRESS!
Effects of stress – we’re irritable, we get tension headaches, we get puffy eyes and dark circles, our skin and hair look bad.
According to beauty blogger Nicole Romero, we can do several things to remedy the effects of stress:
- we should protect our skin by applying appropriate products like creams, masks, etc… that will help our skin combat the effects of stress
- we should do some meditation, aromatherapy, get a massage, any activity that helps us relax
- we should try to get the proper amount of sleep (8 hours)
- we should eat healthy (less sugar!) and drink more water
- we should supplement the nutrition our body needs with vitamins
Be true to yourself. Don’t you notice that a lot of stress and problems develop when you’re not being real?
Certified Holistic Health Coach and Yoga Instructor Camille Romero explained why we need to find balance – in our food and in other things in life, and that we need to find what makes us happy.
She shared some recipes with us, which I’m also sharing with you:

DREAMY RED PESTO
I didn’t know pesto could be red! But I’m definitely loving the combo of sun-dried tomatoes and basil! The tomatoes provide lycopene, vitamins A, E, and the other ingredients also provide omega-3s, healthy fats, and boosts the immune system.

SUPREME SALAD DRESSING
This is a simple honey mustard dressing, but it’s also delicious. And it’s easy to make!

¼ cup apple cider vinegar
½ cup Doña Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tsp. sea salt (or season to taste)

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until combined or whisk vigorously.
Reproductive Health Tips for Millennials (also applicable even if you’re not a millennial!)
The final talk was with Dra. Fatima Ophelia Suluen, OB-GYN. Aside from the usual “drink lots of water, get enough sleep” tips, she also shared some info that may be TMI! But I’ll share what I can remember.
It’s important to eat right, be active, and maintain a normal body mass index.
The most common causes of missed, irregular periods are:
- thyroid disorder
- PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome)
- poor diet
- low body fat
- excessive drinking
To get good quality sleep, we also need to set our bedroom up for success. Wow, I needed that reminder! I usually watch YouTube or surf the internet on my tablet in bed, and that’s a big No-No!
Good personal hygiene is also important. Aside from showering daily, brushing our teeth, etc… we also talked about waxing, specifically Brazilian waxing. I am so pro-waxing, but the doctor warned that it should be done by an experienced aesthetician to prevent irritation / inflammation.
Track your menstrual cycle! This is so important, but how many of us actually do this? I personally just use my online calendar for this. I used to track it using paper calendars, but after I stop using my paper calendars, I also stop tracking. And I also throw out old calendars, so I lose all the info! With Google calendar, I can easily track my period, make changes, search, sort, etc… and the info stays with me even if I change phones! As long as Google calendar lives, so does my info! And just in case Google Calendar gets shut down, my calendar can easily be exported and imported into another digital calendar.
She even discussed STDs but I’m not going to expound on that anymore – basically, just be careful and safe, and don’t be afraid to have a check-up with your OB-GYN.
CHRISTINE PATRIMONIO FOR JEUNESSE ANION
Christine Patrimonio, daughter of PBA legend Alvin Patrimonio, lives an active, sporty lifestyle. She and sister Clarice are the latest brand ambassadors for Jeunesse Anion. They have already represented the country in several tennis tournaments, all while staying in school and earning degrees.
Christine was shy and sweet, but honest about her own experiences using Jeunesse Anion.
Since both are always on the go, they need a sanitary pad that will help them stay at the top of their game. Jeunesse Anion pads have anions, which help ease cramps and prevent odor. You can read my review of Jeunesse Anion pads if you want to learn more about how it helps make your periods regular, and how it really helps with dysmenorrhea.
Jeunesse Anion now comes in Singles. The Ultra Day Pad with Wings is now conveniently packed in sealed packaging. It’s easier for us to put some in our bags, without worrying about the pads getting dirty. You also don’t need to bring the entire pack of sanitary pads anymore when going out, like I used to do! If you need only one pad, just bring one pad. You don’t need to worry about finding a pouch for it, or packing it to make sure that it stays clean and hygienic.
You can order the Singles from www.lazada.com.ph, and they will also be available soon at convenience stores nationwide. They are affordably priced at P8.50 per piece, and comes in 24 pieces per box. It is thin and light and easy to slip into a small bag. It is good for light to medium flow.
